Scoring the GED TestGED Testing

The GEDtest will have a passing score of 150 for each subject. Therefore, students will need to reach a score of at least 150 on each subject and a total score of 600 or higher across all four subjects in order to receive the GEDtest credential. Students may also earn an “Honors” score if they receive a score of 170 or higher on any subject. See below for the full score scale:

  • Pass/High School Equivalency (Score ≥ 145)
  • GED? College Ready (Score ≥ 165)
  • GEDCollege Ready + Credit (Score ≥ 175)
